Laser Fistula surgery: a minimally invasive procedure for treating fistula, involves inserting a laser fibre into the fistula from outside and guiding it through to the opening inside the rectum, this causes the surrounding tissue to shrink ,the channel is sealed with a laser, the internal opening is then closed using suture and in some cases skin flap
Fistulotomy: this procedure involves cutting the fistula and removing the infected tissue and drain the abscess and prevent reoccurrence.
LIFT(Ligation of Intersphincteric Fistula Tract): This procedure involves making an incision in the skin near the fistula and then using a special tool to locate the internal opening of the fistula. The internal opening is then closed with suture, it helps to prevent the fistula from recurring
