Open Surgery : An incision is made near the navel, the protruding tissue is pushed back into the abdomen, and the abdominal wall is reinforced with stitches. In some cases, a synthetic mesh is used to strengthen the area.
Laparoscopic Treatment : Small incisions are made, and a laparoscope (a thin tube with a camera) along with surgical instruments are used to repair the hernia with mesh.
